Summary of the creation process:

Checklist

  1. Cheklist criteria has to be understood thoroughly
  2. Contributor has to pass the online test based on the Checklist with minimum 80% marks

Learning activity

  1. Go through the screencasting videos and learn how to create a screencast video
  2. Create a sample 2 min video and submit for Admin review
  3. Go through the LaTeX tutorials and learn LaTeX
  4. Create sample slides and submit for Admin review to the Project Manager heading Creation
  5. She will give you a feedback on the quality of your work
  6. On approval from the Project Manager, proceed further

Outline

  1. Outline is written
  2. Outline is sent for review to an Expert Reviewer
  3. Feedback is sent to the Contributor and the changes suggested are incorporated into the outline
  4. There is iterated reviews until we have the acceptance and approval from the Expert Reviewer

Admin Check
  1. Contributor starts with the first script and its accompanying slides. (Please note - first script is not the Overview tutorial)
  2. The Project Manager does the Admin check on the script, slides and accompanying code files, if any
  3. Feedback is sent to the Contributor
  4. The Contributor incorporates the changes as given by the Admin Team
  5. There is iterated checks until the script has met the Checklist Admin criteria
Novice and Domain Expert Check
  1. Next, the script and slides are sent for both, Novice check and Domain check (Expert Reviewer)
  2. A Novice reviews the script and slides to test the working of the script. He/she actually tries out all the commands as given in the script and points out all the lacunae and errors encountered, while executing the script
  3. Expert Reviewer reviews the script and slides for accuracy of technical aspects and pedagogy
  4. The feedback given by the Expert Reviewer and the Novice is sent to the Contributor and the script is further modified
  5. There is iterated reviews until we have the acceptance and approval from the Expert Reviewer and Novice check person

Video Recording

  1. The Contributor records the video and submits it
  2. The Project Manager does the Admin check
  3. Feedback is sent to the Contributor
  4. The Contributor incorporates the changes as given by the Admin Team
  5. There is iterated checks until the video has met the Checklist Admin criteria
  6. Expert Reviewer reviews the video and gives approval
  7. If the video is approved, it is published on the website
  8. If not approved, feedback is sent to the Contributor
  9. The Contributor incorporates the changes as given by the Expert Reviewer
  10. There is iterated checks until the video is approved by the Expert Reviewer

Timed Script

  1. A separate script page is created which has the begin-timings of each sentence
  2. This is the English-Timed-script
  3. It is used for translation and dubbing the video into different languages

This completes the whole process of creating ONE Original Spoken Tutorial
